As Kenya marks over a decade of devolved governance, the need to re-engineer county governments through technological innovation has never been more pressing. Digital transformation presents a powerful tool to close the socio-economic divide by improving access to services, enhancing transparency, fostering citizen participation and unlocking new economic opportunities at the grassroots.
TESPOK, as a key enabler of Kenya’s digital ecosystem, recognizes the pivotal role ICT infrastructure, digital services, and data-driven governance play in actualizing the promises of devolution. Counties must be supported to integrate scalable digital systems, ensure broadband connectivity, enhance data management, and protect digital rights to ensure equitable and inclusive development. The theme of the side event will be; Leveraging ICT Infrastructure for Inclusive, Smart and Equitable Counties.
