Kenya Peering Forum

The Kenya Peering Forum (KePF) is an annual event that brings together key stakeholders in the ICT, Connectivity and datacenter industry to discuss emerging trends, opportunities and challenges in the Kenyan digital ecosystem. The forum serves as a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and networking among industry leaders, policy makers and technology experts.

The forum is organized by Technology Service Providers of Kenya (TESPOK) who manage the Kenya Internet Exchange Point (KIXP), a critical infrastructure that facilitates the exchange of internet traffic between Internet Service Providers (ISP) and network operators in Kenya.

Event Objectives

  1. State and Future of Connectivity: The forum will explore current state and future of connectivity in Kenya.
  2. Encourage Innovation: The discussions will explore emerging trends and technological innovations shaping the future of peering and Internet Exchange.
  3. Address Regulatory and Policy Issues: The forum will provide regulatory updates and policy developments affecting the ICT sector in Kenya.
  4. Facilitate peer-to-peer Exchange: The event will provide a conducive environment for network engineers and industry stakeholders to engage in open discussions and share insights on peering practices, challenges, and opportunities.
  5. Enhance Collaboration: KePF is a platform to foster collaboration and partnership among ISPs, regulators, and telecommunication operators to strengthen the internet ecosystem in Kenya.
  6. Promote Industry Best Practices: Through different discussions, the event will showcase best practices in peering arrangements, interconnection agreements, and network optimization strategies.
