Kenya proudly hosted the Africa Internet Summit (AIS) 2026, Africa’s premier Internet industry event, bringing together network engineers, Internet service providers, policymakers, regulators, academia, and development partners from across the continent.

Hosted locally by the Technology Service Providers of Kenya (TESPOK), the summit provided an important platform for technical training, policy dialogue, and collaboration aimed at strengthening Africa’s Internet infrastructure and advancing the continent’s digital economy.

Throughout the week, delegates participated in technical workshops, policy sessions, and industry discussions focused on building a secure, resilient, and accessible Internet for Africa.

Key discussions focused on:

  • Strengthening Internet infrastructure and regional interconnection.
  • Accelerating IPv6 adoption across African networks.
  • Enhancing routing security and Internet resilience.
  • Building technical capacity for network engineers and Internet professionals.
  • Strengthening collaboration between governments, regulators, academia, and the private sector.

By hosting AIS 2026, TESPOK reaffirmed Kenya’s position as a regional leader in Internet development and demonstrated its continued commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing across Africa’s Internet community.
